So I was searching Tumblr randomly for “dance” as a tag, and I stumbled upon this video. I think I like this video so much partially because it’s sunny and bubbly (a direct contrast to the rain and wind blasting outside of my window). I took notes as I watched, smiling at the buoyancy that you can see and feel in the movement and in the music. It feels very childlike, very carefree. There are lots of spins, lots of lift, and it makes me think of kids, teasing and playing in a playgorund. I liked and was originally curious about the use of the one panel of video of the water, and realized that it moves across stage as the dance progresses across the stage. It ends with a certain type of longing that left me saying bam, this feels like a summer romance. One that has no real conflict except the longing that comes when a lover has to leave.

What do you think?
